11TH ANNUAL WATERWAY CLEANUP

The Town of Lake Clarke Shores would like to thank all of our residents and friends for making this year’s 11th Annual Waterway Clean-up of a huge success.

We had 55 Volunteers and 12 boats at this year’s clean-up they filled a 40 yard dumpster to the top with trash from our waterways.

In total our efforts took the following out of our beautiful Lake Clarke & Surrounding Canals:

·        48 trash bags

·        350 lbs. of recycle

·        7 tires

·        7 shopping carts

·        8 bikes

·        15 sports balls

·        17 pieces of wood

·        5 patio chairs

·        Paint cans, wheel chair, diving board, TV, Couch Frame, Couch cushions, ½ surfboard, large amounts of Styrofoam pieces, football helmet, DVD, large amounts of plastic pieces, blankets, pillows, and pieces of tile.

Also discovered by Lake Clarke Shores Police Department was a purse filled with personal information which upon further discovery was from a robbery in Lake Worth, and has since been returned to the owner.

We had a great time, and did a great thing for our waterways and the animals that call it home.

We would like to thank all of our sponsors and donators for supporting the Town of Lake Clarke and the environment this weekend. They provided dumpsters, trash bags, gloves, grabbers, shirts, cookies, and prizes.

Special Thanks to:
