THE BOIL WATER NOTICE FOR THE BELOW CUSTOMERS HAS BEEN LIFTED.
To: Customers of the Town of Lake Clarke Shores Utilities Department
This notice is to report that at approximately 9:00AM through 4:00PM on October 10, 2017, we will be shutting down the water service in your area in order to tie in a new water main, the eight inch (8”) water main being shutdown is located at Carandis Road & Lake Clarke Drive.
There will be ninety-seven (97) residential homes involved.
During this time period, due to this planned construction, there will be an interruption to your water service.
Due to this construction, contamination of the water is possible.
Therefore, as a precaution, we advise that all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth or washing dishes be boiled. A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient.
As an alternative, bottled water may be used.
The Department of Health also suggests disinfecting tap water by adding 8 drops of unscented household bleach to each gallon of water then mixing the water and allowing it to stand for a minimum period of 30 minutes.
Note: Cloudy water requires 16 drops of bleach and a 30 minute contact time.
This precautionary boil water notice will remain in effect until the bacteriological testing shows that the water is safe to drink. We will notify you as soon as the test results have been received.
If you have any questions you may contact the Town of Lake Clarke Shores Utilities Department at 561-642-7870.
