 MARINE UNIT


The Marine Unit, manned by Officers specially trained in the area, is regularly utilized to safeguard and protect persons, vessels and property on or contiguous to the Town's waterways.

In addition to providing marine safety by conducting vessel inspections, the Marine Unit provides a highly visible police presence in furtherance of deterring residential burglaries committed from boats.

                          INVESTIGATIONS UNIT

 The Investigations Unit is responsible for conducting follow-up investigation of all criminal offenses occurring within the corporate limits of the Town. The Investigator, reporting directly to the Chief of Police, gathers information and evidence necessary for the identification of suspects and the successful prosecution of the case through the office of the State Attorney.
