Emergency Operations Center

The new Police Department includes a state of the art emergency operation system. This system provides direct communication with FEMA, Palm Beach County Emergency Management, video conferencing, and equipped with satellite updates. In addition, the operation center is equipped to withstand a category 4 hurricane.
Also, the Town utilizes the Palm Beach County Regional Alert and Notification System. This system produces web-based high speed notifications via phone to individual residences, schools or businesses. It has the ability of sending out 6,000 automated calls per hour. The system has the ability to notify all residents in Lake Clarke Shores or it may be programmed to notify residents in a particular area right down to a single home.
The Town of Lake Clarke Shores has established the practice of using this system in the event of an emergency, such as cases of threatening weather, hazardous material spills, evacuations, boil water orders, etc. The system will not be used for general announcements and is strictly prohibited for use in commercial or political messages.
