Flood Warning System

Palm Beach County Emergency Management maintains direct contact with the National Weather Service (NWS) during flood or other weather related emergencies.

In the event of an emergency, the residents of Lake Clarke Shores should stay tuned to local TV or radio stations known to have an active news bureau or to a NOAA weather radio for weather information. Suggested television stations include WPTV Channel 5; WPEC Channel 12; WPBF Channel 25 or WFLX Channel 29. Suggested radio stations include WIRK 107.9 FM; WRMF 97.9 FM; WEAT 104.3 FM and WJNO 1090 AM. Evacuation routes will be announced when an evacuation order is issued. Main evacuation routes for Lake Clarke Shores include Forest Hill Blvd and I-95. The Lake Clarke Shores Police Department would also use loudspeakers to provide residents with evacuation information, if necessary.

Lake Clarke Shores also utilizes the GeoCast Web Notification System in conjunction with the Palm Beach County Regional Alert and Notifi cation System. By using this system, the Town would inform residents of emergency situations by telephone. Contact the Town Hall to receive information on adding your unlisted or cell phone number to the Town’s GeoCast database.
