Crews from the City of Lake Worth Beach (the city responsible for the pipe) are working to contain the leak.  Until further notice, LCS residents along the southern border of the town adjacent to the L-10 canal should take the following precautions:

  • Do not use water drawn from the canal for irrigation.

W. from Forest Hill Blvd.

April 9, 2024 - 10:30pm

BREAKING NEWS: Another sewer line has ruptured, possibly affecting the southern most section of the town. This break is near Florida Mango Road near the L-10 canal (near Arabian Rd. W.) adjacent to the town's southern border. Crews are assessing the damage. Affected areas could include homes along Mediterranean Rd. W, Waterway Dr., and Wilton Dr. It is unclear whether the pipe is maintained by the Village of Palm Springs, the City of Lake Worth Beach, or another organization. Until further notice, residents are advised to avoid contact with the water in that area, and to turn off irrigation if it draws water from the canal.
